Hello, my name is Griffin Moore. I am a Product Designer with 13 years of experience building straightforward and usable interfaces.
I am also experienced in front-end code, illustration, as well as icon and type design.
Delighted Surveys
Differentiated from the core CX product which offers users a set of established survey models, Delighted Surveys was built as a general purpose survey tool.
As the sole designer, I collaborated with the CEO and three Product Managers to define the feature set, interface, and aesthetic.
Work began on the survey building process as that served as the foundation of the entire product. I quickly realized an all-in-one editor felt overwhelming and unlike our CX app which progressively exposed certain features.
My proposal was establishing the question as the modular unit. Questions would be added one-by-one, allowing singular focus and proper visibility into our settings.
With user testing, we found this method of survey-building to average 34% faster than the nearest competitor.
The question editor resolves to the survey edit view which allows for more macro functions like adding welcome and thank you messages, reordering questions, and adding comments for your team.
The surveys index exposes relevant information per survey, including active distribution methods and integrations.
Once a survey is published, the survey card resolves to the results view. This view provides an overview of results with visualizations generated per question type.
Link was the first and default distribution method. We quickly followed with the web widget which allows for gathering feedback directly from your website.
Treehouse
As the mobile designer at Treehouse, I was tasked with translating our core web app to iOS devices. In this process I worked alongside an iOS engineer. Together we established our own roadmap and produced an app which greatly simplified what existed on web.
The app retained a rating of at least 4.8 stars in the App Store during active development and was featured on various App Store highlights. Users commonly expressed that the iOS apps were preferable to the web app.
The courses taught how to code in various languages using video, code challenges, and quizzes.
Additionally, I handled illustration for the brand and produced various marketing pages.
Following our core app on iOS, we produced a review app for those learning HTML. Detached from the requirements of our core app, we focused on making the interactions as lightweight as possible– creating opportunities for coding on mobile without causing frustration.
